Dr. Yogesh Kumar Gupta, Professor in Chemistry and Head of the Department of Applied Science and Humanities in B. K. Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pilani (Rajasthan), has experience of more than thirty years in academics and research. He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra (U.P.) (formerly Agra University, Agra). His areas of research interest include the synthesis and anti-microbial activities of Schiff Base Metal Complexes, physico-chemical characteristics of groundwater, and physico-chemical studies of heterocyclic compounds as potential antimicrobial agents.

He has supervised seven students for their Ph.D. thesis. He has published more than fifty research papers in reputed national and international journals. He is an associate editor and reviewer of the journal International Journal of Chemical and Analytical Sciences, published by Elsevier, and a reviewer and National Advisory Board Member of the journal “Journal of Pharmacy Research, published by Elsevier. He is an advisory board member of the “International Journal of Chempharma Research” and the “Asian Journal of Research in Chemistry.” He is the secretary of the National Scientific Association of India and a member of the “Research Journal of Chemistry and Environment,” IAENG Society of Chemical Engineering. He has attended various seminars/conferences and presented his research papers. Dr. Gupta chairs and is the eminent member of various conferences organized by reputed national and international organizations.
