B. K. Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology (BKBIET), Pilani, celebrated Engineers’ Day on September 15 with the participation of more than 60 students. The programme included a Treasure Hunt, Technical Quiz, and expert interaction focusing on teamwork, technical knowledge, innovation and professional learning.
The Treasure Hunt was held at 10:30 AM. Team KHATORI comprising Khushi, Nitesh Sharma, Tarun Sharma and Rahul secured first position, followed by Team PJ Masks (Natasha, Antra, Chhavi and Radha) and Team Riddle Raiders (Aditi, Hanshika, Megha and Shalu).
The Technical Quiz, organized by the Science Club under Ms. Monika Shekhawat, PIC, and Dr. Rajeev, FIC, Science Club, tested students’ technical knowledge and quick thinking. Chhavi (AI) secured first position, Khushi and Manshi Sharma (AI, 2nd Year) second, and Rohit Saini (AI, 2nd Year) third.
An expert interaction was conducted from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM with Dr. B. A. Botre, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. He discussed his research and assistive mobility technologies, including the Assistive E-tricycle and E-trike, and shared information about research, emerging technologies and internship opportunities.
A major highlight was the IETE Student Forum, BKBIET being selected for the 1st IETE Best ISF Award in the North Zone for 2026, recognizing its efforts in technical and professional activities.
Dr. Botre distributed certificates and prizes to the winners. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Krishna Meel, ISF Coordinator, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, faculty, students and coordinators, and thanked Prof. B. K. Rout, Director, BKBIET, for his continued support and encouragement.
The event was coordinated by Vinay Verma, Vikas, Gaurav, Dhananjay, Priyanshu, Punit, Summit, Antra, Chhavi and Garima Saini. The celebration provided students with an opportunity to develop technical knowledge, teamwork, innovation and professional interaction, with the ISF award adding special significance to the occasion.
