• Brief Bio

Dr. Nishant Kumar (M18, IEEE) graduated from Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Odisha, India in 2015. He received M.Tech Degree in Power Systems Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Nagaland, India in 2017. He received a Ph.D Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur India in 2023. Currently, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at B K Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology Pilani, India. Dr. Nishant Kumar have also worked as an Assistant Professor at Chaibasa Engineering College, Jharkhand recruited by MHRD-NPIU under the World Bank and MHRD project “TEQIP-III” since January 2018 to September 2021. His research interests include Modelling and Control of Modern Power System, Microgrid, Smart Grid, and Renewable Energy: Planning, Forecasting, Energy Management and usage of Soft Computing (Meta-Heuristic Algorithms) & Machine Learning applications in Power system.
