Mr. Reetesh Gautam is a dynamic and result-oriented professional serving as the Training & Placement Officer at B K Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology (BKBIET), Pilani. With an academic foundation in Leadership & Change Management from Indian Institute of Management Raipur, an MBA in Human Resources Management from O.P. Jindal Global University, and an M.Tech in Multimedia and Data Management Systems, he combines strong academic insight with professional discipline gained through his honourable service in the Indian Armed Forces. He brings leadership, integrity, and innovation to engineering education and student development.
At BKBIET, he leads the Training & Placement Cell with strategic foresight and executional excellence. He has designed and implemented comprehensive training modules to enhance students’ employability, personality, logical reasoning, and soft skills from the first year to final placements. He also developed a structured Training & Placement Cell Manual, streamlining placement drives, recruiter engagement, student profiling, and communication processes. He actively mentors students in resume building, interview preparation, goal setting, and promotes awareness of initiatives like the PM Internship Scheme.
To strengthen industry-academia collaboration, he has undertaken key outreach initiatives. In Bengaluru (June 2025), he engaged with IT firms to establish partnerships in digital skills, IoT, and automation sectors. At Ashok Hall Girls’ School, Kolkata (July 2025), he represented BKBIET at Career Fair 2025, promoting the institute through interactive engagement.
His contributions extend beyond placements to institutional branding, public relations, and communication strategies. He was invited as a distinguished panellist at the Transformative Education Conclave by Linux World and IIEC, addressing student expectations versus job market realities.
He has also initiated MoUs with the Airport Authority of India, IT organizations, and Birla Museums to facilitate technical internships. A former Technical Adjutant in the Indian Air Force, he has received commendation from the AOC-in-C, Western Air Command.
