B K Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pilani celebrated Engineer’s Day 2025 with great enthusiasm, honouring the legacy of Bharat Ratna awardee Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
The celebration began with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, followed by a technical talk on “Affordable Assistive Mobility Solutions for Disabled Individuals” – Power Assistive Hybrid E-Trike and Smart Power Wheelchair” delivered by Dr. Bhausaheb Ashok Botre, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani.
The morning and afternoon sessions witnessed exciting events including LAN Gaming, Treasure Hunt, Robotics Workshop, Project Presentations and Ideathon where students showcased creativity, teamwork, and innovation.
In the Valedictory Session, Chief Guest Prof. Manoj Soni, Chairman, IEI India & Professor at BITS Pilani, delivered an insightful talk on “Spiritual Thermodynamics”. This was followed by the Certificate Distribution Ceremony for winners of Engineer’s Day events.

- Free Fire Tournament: Tie between Team “1&Only” and Team “Peerless” (Cash Prize ₹4000 by IEI; Final round to be organized on 17th September due to time constraints)
The session concluded with appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of students, the dedicated guidance of faculty, and the generous support of sponsors and professional society chapters.
The institute also felicitated its proud sponsors — Mr. Amit Kumar, Proprietor, Arichwal IT Services Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Hemant Bajoria, Harsys Technology Pvt. Ltd. (felicitation received on their behalf by Mr. Modit Bhatnagar and Mrs. Ananta Bhardwaj). In addition, contributions from technical chapters IEI, IETE, IEEE, and the Startup & Competition Club were acknowledged for their vital support in organizing the celebration.
Faculty coordinators and student coordinators were also honoured, with overall coordination led by Dr. Nimish Kumar (PIC Academics) and Dr. Krishna Meel (PIC Technical Clubs & Societies).
The celebration concluded with a grand Warrior Robotics Show followed by High Tea, leaving participants motivated to innovate with purpose and passion.
