Krishna Meel was born in the Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan, India on January 13, 1983.She received her master degree in Physics from Devi Ahilya Viswa Vidyalay Indore( M.P.), India in 2005 and Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physics, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and CSIR-Central Electronic Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani Rajasthan, India in 2015. Dr Meel has joined B. K. Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pilani-Raj in 2007 as a lecturer where she is working as Associate Professor since 2017. She is the recipient of French Embassy Scholarship (EGIDE) in 2011. She has authored or coauthored 3 books on engineering physics and physics practical and 8 research publications in reputed international journals and 11 papers presented in national, international and conference proceedings. She has contributed a chapter for a book entitled “Advances in Antenna, Signal Processing, and Microelectronics Engineering” with CRC Taylor & Francis Group APPLE ACADEMIC PRESS and a Chapter: “Optimizing InGaN/GaN MQW Blue LED Performance: Integrating Simulation and Growth Approaches” for a book entitled “Current Perspective to Physical Science Research Vol. 8” with BP International publishers,2 April 2024, Page 45-53 ISBN 978-81-971665-2-5 (Print). Invited for a talk: “Development of Photovoltaic cell” on April 26, 2018 at Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus, Thailand and “Role of Physics in Engineering” in induction program on 6 Aug, 2019 at Government Engineering College Bharatpur, Bharatpur-Rajasthan. Her areas of interest are modeling of SOI MOSFET, LEDs, flexible solar cell and flexible electronic devices. She has organized more than 70 technical talks, seminars, workshops, conferences, FDPs, competition’s, technical visits, drives under the banner of ISF, BKBIET & IETE Pilani Centre, CEERI. Dr. Meel is a Fellow of IETE (India) and elected for a post “Hony. Secretary”, IETE Pilani centre, CEERI-Pilani for the session 2020-2022 & 2022-2024.
