Prof. Rahul Banerjee, currently, as the Director of the LNMIIT Jaipur, holds a PhD in CSE in Intelligent Systems. He has over 35 years of professional experience. He has collaborated with leading academic and industry partners, such as MIT, University of Oxford, University of Bern, UPM Madrid, Stanford University, Microsoft Research, IBM, Cisco, and Google, and secured funding from various sources, including the European Commission, the Govt. of India, and the Govt. of France.

Dr. Sanjay Singh is serving as the Senior Principal Scientist and Group Head of the Advanced Information Technologies Group at CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI) in Pilani, Rajasthan – A Government of India Research Laboratory. Additionally, he holds the position of Professor in Engineering Sciences at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) in India – An Institution of National Importance.
Mini Convocation Ceremony
B K Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pilani organized a grand Mini Convocation Ceremony on 18th April 2025 in BKBIET Campus for the passing-out students of batch 2021-25. The chief guest of the ceremony Prof. Rahul Banerjee Director, LNMIIT Jaipur and Guest of Honor Dr. Sanjay Singh Senior Principal Scientist CSIR-CEERI Pilani, who inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. At the beginning of the program, Prof. Bijay K. Rout Director BKBIET and Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma Principal BKBIET honored the chief guest and guest of honor of the ceremony, the principals of B K Birla Group of Institution and the invited guests. In the ceremony, degrees were awarded to the students of various branches like Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science Engineering (Data Science), Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. In this ceremony, Gold Medalists of the institute Ms. Palak Sharma from Artificial Intelligence branch, Mr. Rahul Bangarwa from Electronics and Communication Engineering branch and besides this, 16 rank holders including Shyam Pratap Singh Rajawat, Ayushi Tamboli, Abhinandan Sharma, Smriti, Jatin Kumar Panwar, Prashant Gupta, Ashish Choudhary, Pooja Choudhary, Rahul, Chinmay Jain, Ashok, Karanpal, Sanital, Lucky, Naveen Soni, Bhervesh Daiya, Aditya Sharma, were awarded for their excellence. Total 218 degrees were awarded by Bikaner Technical University.
Chief Guest Prof. Rahul Banerjee, in his address, inspired the students to engage in innovation, research, and service to society. He also highlighted the advantages and challenges of Artificial Intelligence and shared valuable insights on Quantum Computing.
Guest of Honor Dr. Sanjay Singh, in his address, motivated the faculty and students at BK Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology to make the most of the Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed between BKBIET Pilani and CSIR-CEERI Pilani. He emphasized that everyone should benefit by effectively utilizing the advanced laboratories at CSIR-CEERI Pilani. He further remarked that research becomes truly fruitful when collaboration is strengthened by a spirit of mutual understanding and friendly relations between institutions.
Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma said that behind these achievements of the students is the able guidance and hard work of the visionary Vice Chancellor, Bikaner Technical University, Bikaner Professor Akhil Ranjan Garg due to which Bikaner Technical University is functioning very well, and results of students are declared in short time.
On this occasion, special guest Dr. Vipin Kumar, Principal, BKBIHE, Mr. Manoj Gaur Principal, BTTI, and Mr. Vipin Verma Principal ITI, were present. Faculty members, students, parents, various eminent guests and all the journalists of Pilani were present at the function. The function added another golden chapter to the glorious academic history of the institute.
