Hands on Workshop on Android App Development On 12 Sep, 2025

A one-day workshop on Android App Development was successfully organized under the aegis of the Department of Computer Science Engineering at B K Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pilani. Mr. Vijesh Saini from Skill Upgrade (One Pixel Soft Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur) was invited as an expert speaker in the workshop, who made the students aware of the latest technologies and practical aspects of mobile application development.

Mr. Saini gave detailed information about the basic structure of Android app development, user interface design, coding practices, debugging and testing. During the workshop, the students were provided step-by-step guidance so that they could develop their own small applications. The students not only understood the process of app creation, but also learned that at present Android app development is providing immense possibilities in the field of employment and start-ups in the IT industry.

Dr. Nimish Kumar, Head of Computer Science Department said that such events provide an important opportunity for students to understand the needs of the real world and put the knowledge acquired in the classroom into practice. He said that such workshops help in developing creativity, innovation and technical skills in students.

Institute Director Prof. B.K. Raut and Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma praised this initiative and said that such training programs prepare students for future challenges. They expressed their gratitude to the keynote speaker Mr. Vijesh Saini and One Pixel Soft Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur.

Assistant Professor Manoj Kumar Saini and Himanshu Verma played the role of coordinator in the successful organization of the workshop.

After the workshop, the students shared their experiences and said that this opportunity gave them a unique opportunity to understand the process of creating a real app. A student said, “Today we are confident that we too can create a complete app by giving technical form to our ideas.” Another student said, “This workshop has inspired us towards new dimensions of employment and start-ups.”. All the teachers and students present on the occasion appreciated the creativity and innovative spirit of the students.
