Tree Plantation Drive | Hariyalo Rajasthan

A Tree Plantation Drive was successfully organized at BKBIET, Pilani, as part of the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Campaign “Hariyalo Rajasthan” (One Tree for Mother) — an initiative promoted by the Collector, Jhunjhunu, Government of Rajasthan. The event was a collaborative effort by the Department of Applied Science and Humanities, Student Welfare Division, IETE Student Forum (ISF), BTU/AICTE/UGC Initiative Committee, and NCC Unit of BKBIET.

The drive was conducted with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and fostering a sense of ecological responsibility among students and faculty. Under the able guidance of Dr. Y.K. Gupta, Head of the Department of Applied Science and Humanities, and coordinated by Dr. Krishna Meel, Associate Professor, the event witnessed active participation from faculty members and students.

A special note of gratitude was extended for the gracious presence and support of Dr. Bijay Kumar Raut, Director, and Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Principal, whose encouragement added great value to the initiative.

During the one-hour drive, numerous saplings were planted in the designated park area, thereby contributing to the campus’s green cover and supporting the larger mission of environmental sustainability.

The involvement of enthusiastic faculty members and student representatives from ISF and NCC made the event a great success. Their energy and commitment set a commendable example of community participation in ecological efforts.
