Industry Academia Meet | May 6th 2022
Industry-Academia Meet hosted by Department of Computer Science Engineering, IT and Electrical Engineering, of B K Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pilani on May 06, 2022 with an objective of bridging the industry-academia gap and to improve the employability of engineering graduates. During (online) meet, Prof. S.M. Prasanna Kumar, Director BKBIET, Pilani mentioned about the opportunities that engineers have and also focused that they are creators, designers and builders and forerunner for the development and progress of any country.
On this occasion, Dr Nimish, HOD CS & IT department welcomed the resource person Mrs. Harshita Jayakar, Sr. Program Manager, Lam Research (USA), Mrs. Seema Rayal, Installation Manager, Vedanta ltd. (Cairn Oil and Gas) and Mr Anurag Dharmawat, Sr. Business Manager (Africa) Genus Power Inf. Ltd. who shared their vast experiences and about researches going on in India and abroad.
Mr. K K Pareek, G M Commercial, BKBIET Pilani in his talk elaborated that industry and academia shall join hands and provide the best to the society. He added these types of meet are certainly beneficial for Institutes and Industries.
Faculties and students of the departments were also present on this occasion and they all profited from the wealth of learning and experiences of the expert. It was a great experience for both faculties and students as the session was full of interactions. At the end, Dr Smita Pareek HOD Department of Electrical Engineering honored the experts and the online meet ended with the concluding remarks and vote of thanks by Dr L Solanki, Principal, BKBIET Pilani.
