The IETE Students’ Day Celebration was organized by the IETE Pilani Centre in association with the IETE Student Forum (ISF), BKBIET and the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme of MSME Government of India. The event aimed to promote technical knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurial awareness among students.
The program began with a bouquet presentation to the dignitaries. The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. Bijay Kumar Rout, Director, BK Birla Group of Institutions, Pilani, who emphasized the importance of technical societies in shaping students’ careers.
The opening remarks were given by Dr. Chandrashekhar, Chairman, IETE Pilani Centre, highlighting the significance of emerging technologies and active student participation.
On the occasion of IETE Students’ Day, the President’s Message was shared by Dr. Sumitra Singh, scientist F, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani.
An informative session on the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (MSME Govt. of India) was delivered by Dr. Jai Gopal Pandey, Scientist F, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, motivating students to explore startup opportunities and government schemes.
The highlight of the event was the invited talk on “MEMS Technology for Advanced Communication Applications” delivered by Dr. Deepak Bansal, Scientist F, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani.
The session provided valuable insights into MEMS technology and its applications in advanced communication systems. Dr. Deepak Bansal was felicitated as a token of appreciation. The Best ISF Members Award 2025 were given to six students: Vansh Verma, Nitin Kumar Gaur, Vinay Verma, Diksha, Rahul Saini and Vikash Kumar.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 110 students along with faculty members. The celebration successfully encouraged technical engagement, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking among students. The six best ISF members were awarded certificate and prizes for their efforts in making ISF one of the most active Chapter of BKBIET on this occasion.
