BTU Vice Chancellor Prof. Akhil Ranjan Garg Accorded a Grand Welcome at BKBIET, Pilani

Bikaner Technical University (BTU) Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akhil Ranjan Garg, made an academic visit to B K Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology (BKBIET), Pilani, where he was accorded a grand welcome. In a special program organized on the institute campus, Prof. Bijay Kumar Rout, Director of BKBIET, extended a warm welcome to the Vice Chancellor by presenting a flower bouquet.

While addressing the faculty and staff of BKBIET, Prof. Garg shared his insights on the growth and development of technical education. He highlighted the newly introduced BTU Internship Program, stating that it aims to significantly enhance students’ practical knowledge and industry readiness. He also emphasized the university’s focused efforts towards promoting research and innovation across all affiliated institutions.

Prof. Garg informed the gathering that BTU is now conducting examinations on schedule and ensuring timely declaration of results, thereby helping students avoid delays in pursuing higher education or employment opportunities. Stressing the value of collaborative growth, he said, “The university and its affiliated institutions must work together in the spirit of moving forward collectively to enhance the overall quality of education.”

Towards the conclusion of the program, Prof. Garg interacted with media representatives from Pilani and shared detailed updates on several academic reforms underway at BTU. He also revealed that his visit included formal engagements for signing MoUs with BITS Pilani and CEERI Pilani to foster collaborative research, development, and academic exchanges.

The BKBIET community described the Vice Chancellor’s visit as inspiring and highly motivating.

The event was graced by dignitaries from BTU including Dr. O.P. Jakhar, Dr. Ganesh P. Prajapat, Dr. Ritu Raj Soni, Mr. Renu Lal Chauhan, and Mr. Rajkumar Chaudhary. From BKBIET and its sister institutions, Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma (Principal, BKBIET), Mr. Manoj Gaur (Principal, BTTI), Dr. Vipin Kumar (Principal, BKBIHE), Mr. Vipin Verma (Principal, ITI Pilani), along with all department heads and staff members, were present.

The program was coordinated by Assistant Professor Ruchi Sharma with student coordinators Rachna (I Year – CSE) and Apoorva (I Year -AI)
