BKBIET MUN 2022 | April 22nd – 24th

The Model United Nations is a platform to encourage thoughts and dialogue amongst the students of all over the world. B K Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology hosted a three-day MUN from 22nd April -24th April 2022. The Inaugural was held on 22nd April 2022 at 3:00 pm at BPTRC. Students from Birla School Pilani, Birla Public School, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth – Pilani, Mody School – Lakshmangarh, Delhi University and B K Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology participated in this three-day event. Around 95 delegates from all committees such as All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM), United Nations Security Council (UNSC), United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), and International Press (IP) were present in offline and online mode to witness the Inauguration Ceremony. The delegates seemed enthusiastic to participate in the very first session of MUN. In the next hours of the day, delegates enjoyed themselves talking and participating in interesting, long debates full of worldwide issues.
The commencement of the second day of BKBIET MUN was ardor. As the delegates ambulated into their respective rooms, the rooms were filled with ebullience and the delegates showcased radiant smiles. Soon after, the session commenced with a Unmoderated Session where the delegates lobbied around their respective classes and discussed the topics. After establishing the agenda and roll call, Representatives presented their aperture verbal expressions in each committee. The whole day included three sessions of discussions consisting of tea breaks, lunch and dinner for the delegates and executive board. After dinner, the day came to a close with a cultural night. The three-day conference appeared to bring out the best in everyone, resulting in a full day of hard work catharsis.
The third and last day of BKBIET MUN started with interactive and adventurous sessions in all the committees. The delegates were enthusiastic and avid towards the last session of their MUN. Afterwards, a Press Conference was held by the International Press regarding the issues going on in each committee. The last day of MUN ended with fruitful and productive outcomes considering the respective agendas on which committees discussed. The last session was followed by lunch and then the closing ceremony in which students were awarded with titles such as Best Delegate, High Recommendations, Verbal Mentions, Special Mentions, Best Journalists and Best Photographer. The ceremony was marked by the benign presence of Principal, Dr. L Solanki, BKBIET, Pilani. The Executive Board members, Organizing Committee, and everyone who was a part of this conference were honored for their unstinded contribution. The Secretary General, Mr. Priyanshu Sharma, then officially announced the wonderful three-day BKBIET MUN close.
