Joy of Giving Week 2026

BK Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pilani organized Joy of Giving Week (JOGW) 2026 from 21st to 23rd January 2026 in collaboration with Nirmaan Organization. The event was conducted with the objective of sensitizing students towards social responsibility and contributing to the welfare of underprivileged children through structured social engagement activities.

Nirmaan Organization is a non-profit initiative working towards educational and social upliftment of children from marginalized backgrounds. The event aligned with the institute’s vision of holistic education and community involvement.

Day 1: Inauguration and Cultural Activities (21 January 2026) Time: 9:15 AM

The program commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony at the Admin Block. The event     was inaugurated by Mr. B. K. Raut, Director, BKBIET; Dr. Anil Kumar, Principal, BKBIET; and Dr.   Anupama Sharma, Faculty Coordinator, Nirmaan Organization, in the presence of faculty members, the student executive team, and volunteers.

The inauguration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official commencement of Joy of Giving Week 2026. Subsequently, cultural activities including singing and dance performances were organized at the Mechanical Lawn, fostering joyful interaction and engagement between students and the participating children.

Day 2: Sports Activities and Joy of Meal (22 January 2026) Time: 4:00 PM onwards

The second day focused on sports and recreational activities. Students organized games to encourage teamwork and participation among children. A Joy of Meal session was conducted at 5:00 PM in the Hostel Mess, during which nutritious meals were served to the children in a respectful and inclusive environment.

Day 3: Gift Distribution and Valedictory (23 January 2026) Time: 4:30 PM

The final day included distribution of gifts based on prior wish-list collection. Items such as school bags, toys, footwear, and winter clothing were distributed. The event concluded with a brief valedictory session, formally marking the successful completion of Joy of Giving Week 2026.
