The Department of Computer Science Engineering, B. K. Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology (BKBIET), Pilani, organized an expert talk on the topic “Recent Trends in Artificial Intelligence (AI)”. The session was delivered by Dr. Navneet Goyal, Senior Professor, Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus.

During his insightful lecture, Dr. Goyal discussed the latest advancements and applications of Artificial Intelligence in various domains. He particularly focused on two emerging areas — AI4EO (AI for Earth Observation) and Generative AI.

He explained how AI4EO technologies are playing a vital role in earth observation, environmental monitoring, climate analysis, and sustainable development, while Generative AI is revolutionizing creative industries, education, and research through its ability to generate new content and ideas.

Dr. Goyal motivated the students to explore new AI technologies, adopt a research-oriented approach, and contribute to the ethical and responsible development of AI.
