Day 1 – Inauguration Ceremony
BASANT 2026, held from 15th to 17th March, was a three-day cultural and sports fest celebrating talent, creativity, and sportsmanship, offering students a platform to showcase their skills.
The fest commenced at 6:00 PM with a welcome speech, formal guest reception, and a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, marking the auspicious start.A Ganesh Vandana performance set a spiritual tone, followed by the Director’s Address and Chief Guest speech, inspiring participants and highlighting the importance of cultural platforms. The ceremony included inaugural dance performances showcasing student talent and concluded with felicitation of guests and contributors.
The evening’s highlight was Nakshatra Round 1 (“Festive Fusion”), featuring 13 pairs in two groups presenting creative, coordinated, and culturally rich performances.
Formal events included: Singing Duet Round, Dance Solo Round 1, Jugnoo Band Night, which created a lively atmosphere and marked a perfect end to the first day.
Informal & Sports Events: Activities like IPL Auction, Underarm Cricket, Rangoli, Badminton, BGMI, Lemon Race, Mehndi, Chess, UNO, and Prom Night were held, ensuring wide participation and adding fun to the fest.
Day 2 – Cultural Events & Nakshatra Rounds
Day 2 focused on advancing competitive rounds and introducing new themes, beginning with a welcome session followed by performances and competitions. The highlight was Nakshatra Round 2 (Ramp Walk with the theme “Disco.”), where participants impressed with vibrant costumes, confident walks, and retro-inspired performances.
This was followed by Nakshatra Round 3 (Prop Round), featuring shortlisted participants who used creative props to enhance storytelling and uniqueness, making it one of the most engaging rounds. Formal events included: Group Dance Performances, Dance Duet Round 2, Singing Solo Round 1, Drama Performance and Dance Solo Round 2
The day ended with sound testing followed by an electrifying EDM Night (DJ Akirra).
Informal & Sports Events: Marvel Quiz, Anime Quiz, Underarm Cricket, Badminton, Deadlift Competition, Arm Wrestling, Bluff Game, 3-Leg Race, Free Fire Tournament, Treasure Hunt, and Open Mic/Unplugged Night.
Day 3 – Finale & Valedictory Ceremony
The final day marked the grand culmination of BASANT 2026 with finale events and the valedictory ceremony. It began with a welcome address and a captivating drama performance, followed by the highlight—Nakshatra Final Round (Questioning Round), where finalists were judged on confidence, spontaneity, intelligence, and communication skills.
The evening continued with vibrant group dance performances and the prize distribution ceremony, where winners were honored and titles announced: Mr. BASANT – Jaswant Singh, Ms. BASANT – Samridhi. The ceremony concluded with speeches, a vote of thanks, and ended on a high note with a Sukhi E Concert Night.
Informal events like Underarm Cricket, BASANT Got Talent, Face Painting, Musical Chair, Ludo, FrameFlix, and Footloose added fun and engagement to the day.
